Cisco systems is now laying out a new planned and more defined strategy and projects that smart grid could soon be worth up to $20 billion a year. The new plan has two face, to partner with utilities so that to come up with a lower costs at each stage of energy distribution process and upgrading grid infrastructure for reduction of outages and improvement of security.
