How would you like to have microchips that snuff their environment for spare energy? Energy scavenging does not seem to be possible at this very moment, but who knows? The embedded systems industry is doubling in size within months. Innovations in this area are abundant, thanks to the large reserve of scientists and engineers from India and China. The day of energy scavenging may soon be realized. Who knows?
