Using Terahetz waves can be more powerfull that x-rays and microscopes.THz waves are already in actions for years, it is already used in new 3D scanners seen in airports but using the technology on practical applications is not that avisable 'cause sensors used are too bulky.But thank to a four year project called TeraNova, Quantum Cascade lasers semiconductor devices was developed which take advantage of quantum effects to operate at frequencies in the range of THz.
